It is a combination of caramel custard with a chiffon cake as the base Whisk eggs, sugar, and cornstarch together in a bowl until sugar dissolves.

The ingredients needed to make Cake Custard:
  1. Make ready 1 cup milk
  2. Take 3 tbsp custard powder
  3. Take 1/2 litre milk

DIRECTIONS Mix the sugar, flour and salt together in a double boiler and add the hot milk gradually, stirring constantly. Pour a small amount over the eggs and mix thoroughly; add back into the first mixture and cook for two more minutes. In a medium bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; set aside. In a large bowl, combine egg yolks and sugar and beat until smooth.

Steps to make Cake Custard:
  1. Mix custard powder and 1 cup milk in a bowl.
  2. Boil 1/2 litre milk in a pan. Add custard powder mixture. Stir continuously. Add sugar.
  3. Take a bowl and arrange slices of vanilla cake. Pour the prepared milk mixture. Make a smiley using gems. Put in fridge for 2 hours.
  4. Serve chilled.

In a medium bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; set aside. In a large bowl, combine egg yolks and sugar and beat until smooth. Custard Cake resembles a chiffon cake with a topping of sweetened milk and egg mixture known as custard. At first glance, this could be mistaken as a giant Leche Flan because the topping resembles one. Custard cake is the perfect dessert after a heavy meal, or delicious snacks during the hot summer days.
