Hey everyone, it is Jim, welcome to my recipe page. Today, we’re going to prepare a special dish, vegetarian bolognese. It is one of my favorites. This time, I will make it a bit unique. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Vegetarian bolognese is one of the most popular of current trending meals on earth. It is simple, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions daily. Vegetarian bolognese is something which I have loved my entire life. They’re nice and they look wonderful.

To get started with this particular recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook vegetarian bolognese using 15 ingredients and 14 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Vegetarian bolognese:
  1. Take 4 medium carrots
  2. Get 3 stick celery
  3. Take 2 medium onions
  4. Prepare 15 medium mushrooms
  5. Take 2 tsp garlic powder
  6. Make ready 2 medium tomatoes chopped
  7. Take 1 tbsp tomato puree
  8. Make ready 1 olive oil
  9. Get 500 grams passata
  10. Prepare 10 fresh basil leaves
  11. Make ready 2 tsp mixed Italian herbs
  12. Get 1 salt & pepper to taste
  13. Take 6 rings dried tagliatelle
  14. Make ready 1 grated cheese
  15. Make ready 1 salt and pepper to taste
Steps to make Vegetarian bolognese:
  1. Grate the carrots
  2. Finely chop onion and celery and mix with carrots and level teaspoon of garlic powder
  3. Fry mix in a little olive oil untill 70% cooked
  4. Fry mushrooms in a little olive oil (vegetable oil will do)
  5. Mix chopped tomatoes, puree, and level teaspoon garlic powder with a little hot water
  6. Add mix to mushrooms
  7. Add mixed herbs and mix together
  8. Add veg mix
  9. Add passata and mix and simmer for 2 hours minimum, add water as needed
  10. After 2 hours add choped basil leaves simmer for 1 hour
  11. Add salt and pepper to taste
  12. Boil pasta and when 75% cooked add to mix
  13. Mix and simmer for 5 mins stirring regularly
  14. Serve with grated cheese of choice and garlic bread, or in this case cheese and pear soda bread.
