My son's friends liked this recipe and would ask for the recipe to take home for their moms to make. Using day-old bread from a bakery helps the French toast to be more stable. If using commercially produced brioche, be sure to allow bread to become slightly stale for best results. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet, and set aside.

Steps to make French Toast:
  1. Let bread get stale overnight
  2. Cut 3/4 in. On the brioche.
  3. Turn on the stove slow and low and melt butter
  4. In a bowl add flour, eggs, milk, cinnamon, and sugar. Dip the bread in the mixture for 20 seconds.
  5. Don’t press the bread. Drop the bread on the skillet. And cook until golden brown. Flip. And repeat.
  6. Put on a plate. Serve with the toppings.

If using commercially produced brioche, be sure to allow bread to become slightly stale for best results. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet, and set aside. Stir in sugar, vanilla, orange juice, and salt until well combined. Dip bread in egg mixture and lay in butter. (not you-the bread!). Reheat leftovers by toasting them in a skillet with butter or giving them a zap in the microwave for about a minute.
