Cinnamon French toast, Brioche French toast, stuffed French toast and even a French toast that tastes like a Starbucks caramel macchiato.

To get started with this recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can have french toast using 6 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make French toast:
  1. Take 8 bread slices
  2. Get 4 eggs
  3. Get Half tsp vanilla essences
  4. Take 7 tbsp sugar
  5. Take 1 cup milk
  6. Take Ghee as required

My son's friends liked this recipe and would ask for the recipe to take home for their moms to make. Using day-old bread from a bakery helps the French toast to be more stable. If using commercially produced brioche, be sure to allow bread to become slightly stale for best results. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet, and set aside.

Steps to make French toast:
  1. Mix well all the ingredients except bread slices. Leave it for 15 minutes.
  2. In a pan heat little ghee and dip bread in egg mixture and shallow fried the bread on both sides till golden brown.
  3. French toast is ready to serve.

If using commercially produced brioche, be sure to allow bread to become slightly stale for best results. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet, and set aside. Stir in sugar, vanilla, orange juice, and salt until well combined. When it comes to French toast, fresher doesn't always mean better. In fact, the French call this dish pain perdu, which translates to "lost bread." Use day-old bread that's sturdy and slightly stale.
